Company Profile

Based in Wilmington, DE, USA

Chemours, founded in 2015 as a spin-off from DuPont, manufactures and sells high-performance chemicals for use in industrial applications. Its range of Teflon brand advanced materials can be used to produce equipment such as piping, filters, sensors and storage containers for high-purity fluids. Teflon™ fluoropolymer resins polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) are using in high-purity components and piping to offer high levels of chemical resistance to corrosion. Such fluoropolymers are commonly used in bulk chemical distribution (BCD) systems, wet etching, and chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) to prevent contamination and protect technology such as sensors from reactive chemicals.

Area of operation

With 35 manufacturing and lab sites, and customers in around 120 countries, Chemours has operations in North America, Latin America, Europe, India and East Asia.
