Samsung Engineering, established 1970 as Korea Engineering before being acquired by Samsung in 1978, is a professional EPC company providing project development, engineering, construction, and O&M services to a variety of industries, including semiconductor manufacturers. The company is in the process of expanding its business scope to phases before EPC such as front end loading (FEL). For industrial clients, Samsung Engineering is developing capabilities around building clean rooms. In 2020 the company provided EPC Samsung Electronics projects in Pyeongtaek, Korea, to construct wastewater treatment facilities, and Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, to plan and construct wastewater treatment, reuse and ultrapure water (RO) facilities. Samsung Engineering is involving itself in the green energy transition, consulting about energy customisation, carbon management and circular economy strategies.
