A subsidiary of German company Wacker Chemie, Silitronic manufactures pure silicon wafers with diameters of up to 300mm. The company’s offerings include polished and epitaxial wafers, the latter of which possess an additional surface later made of monocrystalline silicon. Silitronic has production plants in Asia, Europe and the USA. The company’s most advanced 300mm wafer facility is situated in Singapore and was constructed through a joint venture (JV) with Samsung. As of 2014, Silitronic has a majority share in the JV, which is called Silitronic Samsung.
