IONICON Analytik provides real-time volatile organic compound gas monitoring through the innovation of proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) technology. One of the company’s key products is CHARON, an aerosol sampler which can be added to its instrumentation to enable analysis of organic compounds in the particulate phase. IONICON’s offering also includes customised online software solutions for monitoring in industrial applications.
In December 2021, IONICON Analytik released a new product representing the next generation of proton-transfer-reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometry, or PTR-TOFMS. The instrument combines the ultra-clean FUSION reaction chamber with the TRION triple ion source for detection of trace volatile organic compounds in high-purity gases. The detection is extremely sensitive due to almost instant reagent ion switching capabilities.
